Are you getting married in Vancouver Island? Who will be your Vancouver Island wedding photographer?
Here is a list of some of the things you should consider when looking for a Vancouver Island wedding photographer.

When selecting a Vancouver Island wedding photographer you are selecting more than just a photographer for your wedding day. You are hiring a wedding photographer that will be with you, your family and your group all day on your wedding day. Personality is a huge part of the selection process and should not be overlooked or discounted in any way.
Your Vancouver Island wedding photographer’s personality can set the tone for your entire wedding day and your bridal party. Ultimately it can impact your wedding photography altogether. You will more than likely be working with your wedding photographer for a year, or longer in some cases, by the time you factor in your engagement session and post wedding photography and albums.

While price is always a factor when selecting your Vancouver Island wedding photographer, it should not be the only thing that matters. All too often we hear horror stories from brides who made a decision for their wedding photography based purely on price. It turns out to be foolish in the end. When its all said and done, your wedding photography will be all you have to remember your wedding day.

What will you do with all your images from your wedding photographer? Most people opt to place them in a beautifully designed wedding album that your wedding photographer should provide you with. Don’t underestimate the importance of a wedding album from your wedding day. This is your first family heirloom and your one keepsake you will have forever to remember your Vancouver Island wedding.
When selecting a Vancouver Island wedding photographer you should look for an album that best represents you and your new family. Wedding albums come in all shapes and sizes. Questions you should ask. Your Vancouver Island wedding photographer 1) How many pages come in the wedding album? 2) How many images will be in the wedding album? 3) What leather options are available for my wedding album?

Something often overlooked when selecting a Vancouver Island wedding photographer is the number of hours that will be offered during the coverage of your Vancouver Island wedding. Typically you will want your wedding photographer to be with you to document all the moments of your wedding day. After all, that’s what you are hiring them for. That being said, typical coverage requirements for your wedding day should be about 8-10 hours.
Be careful here. Some Vancouver Island wedding photographers offer cut-rate prices by offering you less than adequate wedding coverage for your day. These become hidden costs and once you realize it, it’s often too late.

Rainy Day Love {Vancouver Island Wedding Photographers | Jennifer Jayde Photography | Destination Wedding Photographer }

I love stories like Sarah and Matt's; When something that starts off so seemingly random, ends up changing your life forever...

It was summertime here on Vancouver Island when they first met, and Sarah's sister Elise had asked her last minute to come along to Protection Island for the day for some volleyball under the bright blue sky and warm golden sun, and maybe some drinks afterwords at the nearby Dinghy Dock Pub.

Matt, originally from Quebec, also happened to be heading back over to Protection Island, when he saw a bunch of people playing a fun game of Volleyball. He wondered over to check it out...and that's when he saw her.
It was like a magnet drew them both together, and they instantly began gravitating towards one another.

Being around Sarah and Matt, with their 5 month old ADORABLE baby boy, has me convinced that they still feel just as crazy about eachother as they did on that day. Even more so. They have that type of excited, deep, true connection that everyone in the room can feel. I love it. Almost as much as I loved being a part of it :)

It was a cold, wet and gray February day...but the softness outside set the perfect mood for the romantic, intimate, Sunday afternoon wedding at the panoramic ocean view home belonging to Sarah's grandparents.
We were warm inside, cozy and comfortable...sharing laughs, tears, and love...

 Sarah and Matt, I am at a loss for words to describe what it meant for me to be a part of such an intimate and beautiful affair. You made me feel right at home, like I was one of the few family members and close friends invited to celebrate the joining of an amazing couple and their beautiful baby boy.  Sarah, our private conversation towards the end of the day was one of the most special I have had with any bride. I felt we made a connection that will last whether our friendship continues or not. You are a beautiful soul and I completely understand why our mutual friend Shelly loves you so much. Thank you thank you thank you, from the bottom of my heart <3

Follow Your Heart Always,
